Honourable  sir ,  

To my previous requests  , your department officials have  not  given  information  requested  and  gave elusive replies, partial information.  Sharing of information leads to crime & criminals. Denial of information under various pretexts  aids  criminals in crime cover ups , which is one more crime. The official who withheld information fully or partially becomes a criminal himself.

Please give me information about following under RTI Act :  

1. List of action taken against police and other department officials involved in bellary mining scam as reported by Honourable Karnataka lokayukta Justice Santhosh Hegde.

2. List of action taken against advocates and police responsible for  riots in city civil court bengaluru.

3. List of  action taken against police officials involved in dacoity at yelwal mysuru. 

4. List of action taken  against police officials involved in lottery scam ?  

5. List of  action taken  against STF police personnel who illegally tortured innocent tribals in MM hills during operation veerappan. 

6. List of  action taken against police officials who tortured , lathi charged innocent old people , pregnant women  during  mahadayi protests.  

7. List of  action taken against parappana agrahara jail officials colluding with  criminals / jail inmates as mentioned in report by DIG Roopa.  

8. Give me the list of police officials facing corruption , criminal charges with their names and posting. 

9. Full list of complaints / appeals made by me to karnataka police through DARPG ,  DPG , PGRTL  websites. 

10. Copies of statements taken from accused , copies of letters sent to government and action taken by police  with regards to each complaint / appeal. 

11. List of action taken by karnataka police to enquire people with legal immunity in above mentioned complaints. 

12. Paying guest accommodation has mushroomed every where in bangalore & mysore. Some PGs resemble hotels / lodges. These PGs don't have emergency fire exits , doesn't pay tax , electricity  Bills at commercial rates , food it serves is not approved by corporation health officer.  List of action taken by police to monitor PGs.

13. Details of ransom paid from karnataka state exchequer to forest brigand veerappan to free kidnapped movie star raj kumar and ex minister nagappa.

14. Many big jewellery shops are running gold chit funds and collecting monthly EMI from public. List of action taken by police to monitor this.

15. Years back few female prisoners of parappana agrahara jail have accused jail officials of forcing them into sex trade within jail premises. List of  action taken against guilty jail police.

16. Give us  the status of enquiry regarding accusation against former dgp IPS Kempaiah wrongly claiming ST  caste  reservation. 

17. List of police officials who are facing enquiry by CRE and indicted for wrongly claiming SC  ST  OBC  caste reservation.

18. Give us  the status of enquiry regarding alleged involvement of then DCP Malagathi in  property dispute of  taxidermist van ingen in mysore.

19. List of police officials caught by ACB,  Karnataka Lokayukta in last 30 years on charges of corruption , disproportionate  wealth.

20. Give us statistics of undertrials and convicts with caste break up in last 20 years. 

21. KPSC scams are frequent and list of police officials in service whose recruitment process itself is in question before judiciary. 

22. Police frequently conduct raids on jails unearthing weapons, mobiles,  drugs. It is not possible without connivance of jail police. Details of  jail raids conducted in last 30 years and  list of  action taken by police in each case against jail officials.

23.  Details about deaths of under trials , convicts in police station , jails in last 30 years. List of action taken against guilty police officials in each case. 

24. Details about  conviction rate of criminals in last 30 years.

25. Details of accused persons who  are acquitted by courts in last 30 years. Year wise statistics please. 

26. Details of the amount of compensation paid by government to each acquitted person for suffering injustice at the hands of government  in  jail.

27. List of action taken against guilty police officials in each case who wrongly accused innocents of crimes. 

28. Details of  registered dalits atrocity cases  in karnataka in last 30 years.

29. Few  dalits misuse provisions of dalits atrocities prevention act to fix their opponents. Details of false dalit atrocities cases filed in last 30 years. List of action taken against such dalits in each case.

30. Copy of case diary with regards to roost resort sex scandal  involving high court judges and list of action taken against the accused.

31. Please give us the break up  numbers  of police stations in karnataka having  working CCTV connection and stations without CCTV connection. Details of police stations not having working CCTV connection or no CCTV at all.

32. Most of the times common people are orally summoned to police stations , enquiry,  detention  not recorded in station diary. This facilitates few guilty police to escape legal prosecution in cases of third degree torture & lock up deaths. List of  actions government has taken to prevent oral summons  , illegal detentions and third degree torture of innocents by police.

Some senior police officers were not aware of the working of the CCTV system

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) chairperson on Thursday expressed concern that police in several states and Union Territories were still not fully complying with the 2018 Supreme Court direction for the installation of CCTV cameras having audio recording and night vision at every police station with an 18-month storage of recordings.

Justice Arun Mishra was chairing a meeting to discuss the measures to be taken to ensure the proper working of CCTVs at police stations with data backup.

NHRC inspections at police stations in the Delhi-NCR found:

■ Many CCTV cameras installed by the police headquarters were not found in working condition.

■ Some senior police officers were not aware of the working of the CCTV system

■ CCTV cameras were not installed at appropriate locations

■ There was no dedicated CCTV monitoring system in the police stations.

■ The standard data storage period for CCTVs in all police stations was 15-75 days (without audio)

■ There was no budgetary provision for maintenance of CCTV cameras

■ No SHO carried out periodic review of footage from CCTV cameras to check for human rights violations.

■ None of the SHOs had any knowledge regarding district-level oversight committees, periodic maintenance and upkeep of CCTV cameras and allied equipment and also budget provisions
